What Power Sync does

Your Fitbit tracker or Pixel Watch records your steps, sleep and heart rate in your Google Health account. Power Sync reads that data, with your permission, and writes it into Apple Health on your iPhone, so it shows up next to the rest of your health data and in the apps you connect to Apple Health.

You choose which data types to sync, and you start each sync yourself. Syncing a time range (a week, a month, a year or your full history) is part of Power Sync Pro; syncing today's steps is free.

How Power Sync uses your Google Health data

Power Sync connects to your Google Health account through Google's official sign-in and the Google Health API. It asks only for read-only access to these categories, and only to copy the data into Apple Health:

PermissionWhy Power Sync needs it
Activity and fitnessSteps, distance, floors, active energy, calories, cardio fitness and workouts for Apple Health.
Health metrics and measurementsHeart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, SpO2, breathing rate, weight and body fat for Apple Health.
SleepSleep sessions and sleep stages for Apple Health.
NutritionLogged water and food calories for Apple Health.

The data goes straight from Google to the Power Sync app on your iPhone and from there into Apple Health. Power Sync does not upload your health data to its own servers, does not sell it, and does not use it for advertising. Power Sync's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

You can disconnect at any time from Settings in the app. Disconnecting revokes Power Sync's access to your Google Health data. You can also remove access from your Google Account.

Before you connect

Google Health data is available to Power Sync once your Fitbit data lives in a Google Account. Open the Google Health app on your phone and sign in with your Google Account first (if you still use a Fitbit account, the app will offer to move it to your Google Account). Then open Power Sync and connect with the same Google Account.
